Quilts and Patchwork

A quilt is usually made of three layers – the patchwork top, a filling (batting) and the back. These layers are stitched together – the actual quilting. The patchwork top is made of different pieces of fabric sewn together. Sometimes the top of a quilt is only made of one piece of fabric – this is known as a wholecloth quilt.

Claudia also makes memory quilts – that is quilts made from used textiles. Sometimes these are baby clothes, other times clothing from a person who has passed away. These quilts are very special and a wonderful way to preserve someone’s memory. If the amount of fabric available is not that great, then it is also possible to make a pillowcase or two.

Stickereien

Die Stickereien werden auf der Nähmaschine erstellt um z.B. Textilien verschiedenster Art zu schmücken. So werden T-Shirts, Schürzen, Kissenbezüge, Handtücher u.v.m. personalisiert – Schriftart, Größe und Farbe können Sie individuell aussuchen.  Aber natürlich berate ich Sie gerne.
