Whenever I am in the store I like to listen to music – sometimes that means radio, sometimes I CD, depending on my mood. In March of 2020 I happened to be listening to Radio Gong when they started the Wedding-Challenge. I thought this wish was so touching that I wanted to help in any way I could. But what could I do?
In the past I have embroidered a few different ring pillows for weddings – and that’s when I realized that I had a elegant ring pillow made of white satin, with a lace border and an embroidered heart. So I packed it up and sent it to Radio Gong.
Even the man at the post office was familiar with Radio Gong and he asked me who the package was for. But once I sent it I completely forgot about it – I was busy packing for the weekend and also pre-occupied with all the news concerning the Corona-Virus. But then I checked back on the Radio Gong website and to my amazement I found the ring pillow! You can even see it in the video (around the 17th second)!
Ich truly wish Miriam and her parents the very best – it is difficult for me to explain how touched I was by this simple wish and how, to me, it proved once again that there are good and selfless people in this world.
