On Saturday, September 26th, we had our last make-it and take-it activity with Tugce. She showed us a different set of macrame knots and helped us make feather earrings. These are really easy to make and very beautiful!

On Thursday, September 24th we spent the afternoon making bead bracelets. Iohana Jascau from Iohanas Schmuckdesign brought a huge selection of beads to the store for us to choose from. And there were also lots of people who stopped by to make a bracelet. Some had so much fun that they even made two! Everyone made whatever they wanted – colorful, sparkly, with or without a charm. And everyone was happy to take their bracelet home with them. Luckily the weather was good enought that we could be outside.

On Tuesday, September 22nd we got to make macrame earrings with Tugce from catzy-bags. I was excited to try something new and made earrings and a couple of pins from the leftover macrame yarn. The weather stayed pleasant until 7 p.m. and by then everybody was finished anyway. Beautiful earrings and a great time!

I am soooo happy that the weather was good on Saturday. Once I set up my sewing machine on the sidewalk in front of the store lots of people stopped by. And as we all made our Crazy Birds I realized that they are crazy because of the way each bird has it’s own unique look and personality. Here are some of the results from September 19th:
