This ‘München ist bunt’ (Munich is colorful) wall hanging was made shortly after the campaign for inclusion started in Munich. It was specifically created for the joint exhibit at OBACHT! Kultur-im-Quartier in 2015 by the members of the Hands Gallery cooperative at the time – Claudia Ziersch, Gabi Funke, Ute Reitmaier-Studt and Alga Magic. This piece reflects our belief that a colorful, inclusive life free of discrimination is a better way of life.
The piece features the Acropolis in the English Garden and a fictional pond with a frog relaxing and reading near by. The entire piece is covered in a variety of flowers. And an airplane in the sky announces that ‘München ist bunt’.
Includes metal elements, felting wool, Angelina fibers, cotton yarn and cotton fabric.
DO NOT WASH!
